CONSONANCE 5A, Multi-Chemistry Battery Charger IC With Photovoltaic Cell MPPT Function CN3722 General Descriptions: The CN 3722(Note 1) is a PWM switc h-mode battery charger controller that ca n be powere d by ph otovoltaic cell w ith maximum p ower point tra cking fu nction. The CN 3722 is specially designed for charging 1 or m ulti-cell lithium ion batteries or LiFePO4 batteries with constant current and constant voltage mode. In constant v oltage mode, th e regulation v oltage is set by the ex ternal res istor d ivider. The constant c harging c urrent is pro grammable with a single current sense resistor. Deeply discharged batteries are automatically trickle charged at 15% of the programmed constant charging current until the cell voltage exceeds 66.7% of the regulation voltage.
