Overview: Standalone Linear Battery Charger for Small Current Li-Ion Button Cell CE3102 Series INTRODUCTION: The CE3102 is a plete constant-current constant-voltage linear charger for small current Li-Ion button battery. It’s SOT package and low external ponent count make the CE3102 especially well-suit for portable applications. Furthermore, the CE3102 is specifically designed to work within USB Power specifications. No external sense resistor is needed and no blocking diode is required due to internal MOSFET architecture. The charge voltage is fixed at 4.2V and the charge current can be programmed externally with a single resistor. The CE3102 automatically terminates the charge cycle when the charge current drops to 1/10th the programmed value after the final float voltage is reached. The CE3102 automatically re-starts the charge if the battery voltage falls below an internal threshold.
