1.0A Low Dropout Voltage Regulator FEATURES • Operational VIN up to +26V • +60V/−20V Voltage Transients • Output Current in Excess 1.0A • Dropout Voltage typically 0.4V @ IOUT = 1.0A • Reverse Battery Protection • Internal Short Circuit Current Limit • Available with 3.3V and 5.0V Output Voltage LM2940H SOT-223-3L DESCRIPTION The LM2940H fixed positive voltage regulator features the ability to source 1.0A of output current with a dropout voltage of typically 0.4V and a maximum of 0.7V over the entire temperature range. Designed also for vehicular applications, the LM2940H and all regulated circuitry are protected from reverse battery installations or 2-battery jumps.
