General Description

The MP5920 is a hot-swap protection controller designed to protect circuitry on its output from transients on its input.

The MP5920 allows a circuit board to be removed from or inserted into a live backplane and protects its input from undesired shorts and transients coming from its output.

The MP5920 works with an Intelli-Fuse, which can feed back the current, voltage, and temperature information to the MP5920.
