DESCRIPTION R The MP8761 is a fully-integrated, high- frequency, synchronous, rectified, step-down, O switch-mode converter. It offers a very pact solution to achieve a 8A output current over a F wide input-supply range with excellent load and line regulation. The MP8761 operates at high efficiency over a wide output-current load range. D The MP8761 uses Constant-On-Time (COT) E control mode to provide fast transient response and ease loop stabilization. D An external resistor programs the operating S frequency from 200k Hz to 1MHz. The N 0 frequency stays nearly constant as the input E N 7 supply varies with the feed-forward pensation. M IG 7 The default under voltage lockout threshold is 8 internally set at less than 4.1V, but a resistor network on the enable pin can increase this M S P threshold. The soft start pin controls the output voltage startup ramp. An open drain power E good signal indicates that the output is within O M nominal voltage range. D It has full integrated protection features that C include over-current protection, over-voltage O protection and thermal shutdown.
