Perkin Elmer Pre-Heat Germicidal Lamps
Description Low Pressure Germicidal/Ozone lamps emit the majority of their energy at 253.7 nm and 185 nm. These UV wavelengths are most effective for the destruction of bacteria, virus, spores, many chemical bonds and ozone generations. Perkin Elmer makes lamps to fit most of the mon UV systems in the field today used for: wastewater disinfection, air disinfection, TOC reduction, Ozone generation, ground water remediation, and many other applications where the energy at 254 nm or 185 nm is required.
Perkin Elmer lamps are available in lengths from 5 ½ inches to over 72 inches long (base face to base face). Lamp length is typically referred to as the length from the outside of one base to the outside of the other base (base face to base face), not including the pins. Preheat lamps require a starting device to ignite and often operate directly off of the available line voltage. Unless otherwise noted, Preheat lamps have a Mini Bi-pin base. Perkin Elmer can also provide the proper power supply (ballast) to operate these lamps at peak efficiency and performance, and Quartz Sleeves
