The LA 1832 and 1832M are single-chip AM/FM IF and MPX tuner ICs that support electronic tuning. These chips were developed for consumer audio systems and is optimal for auto-seek systems based on IF count methods used together with SD. Since no adjustments are required in the FM detector and MPX VCO circuits, use of these chips can significantly reduce the number of adjustment steps in the end-product manufacturing line.
