MPQ4320C 42V Load Dump Tolerant, 0.5A, Ultra-Compact, Synchronous Step-Down Converter, AEC-Q100 Qualified DESCRIPTION The MPQ4320C is a configurable-frequency (350kHz to 2.5MHz) synchronous, step-down switching converter with integrated internal highside and low-side power MOSFETs (HS-FET and LS-FET, respectively). The device provides up to 0.5A of highly efficient output current (IOUT) with peak current mode control. The wide 3.3V to 36V input voltage (VIN) range and 42V load dump tolerance accommodates a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. A 1μA shutdown current (ISD) allows the device to be used in batterypowered applications. An open-drain power good (PG) signal indicates whether the output is within 94.5% to 105.5% of its nominal voltage.
