DESCRIPTION The MPQ4322C is a configurable-frequency (350k Hz to 2.5MHz), synchronous, step-down switching converter with integrated internal highside and low-side power MOSFETs (HS-FET and LS-FET, respectively). The device provides up to 2A of highly efficient output current (IOUT) with peak current control mode. The wide 3.3V to 36V input voltage (VIN) range and 42V load dump tolerance acmodates a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. The 1μA shutdown current (ISD) allows the converter to be used in batterypowered applications. An open drain power good (PG) signal indicates the output is within 94.5% to 105.5% of its nominal voltage. Frequency foldback prevents inductor current (IL) runaway during start-up. Thermal shutdown provides reliable, fault-tolerant operation. A high duty cycle and low-dropout (LDO) mode are provided for automotive cold-crank conditions.
