The teletext decoder hardware is based on the Enhanced puter Controlled ECCT device (SAA5243) with some additional features . The Video Input Processor section of the device uses mixed analog and digital designs in the data slicer and clock phase-locked-loop functions. As a result the number of external ponents are greatly reduced and no critical or adjustable ponents are required.
