GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The SLMi332 can provide 2.5A peak output current. The input side supply operates from 3V to 18V and the output side supply allows for a range from 14V to 40V. All the supply voltage pins have under voltage lock-out (UVLO) protection. An internal desaturation (DESAT) fault detection recognizes when the IGBT is in an overcurrent condition. When desaturation is active, a fault signal is sent across the isolation barrier, pulling the FAULT output at the input side low and blocking the isolator input. When the IGBT is turned off during normal operation with bipolar output supply, the output is clamp to VEE. If the output supply is unipolar, an active Miller clamp can be used, allowing Miller current to sink across a low impedance path, preventing IGBT to be dynamically turned on during high voltage transient conditions. The input side is isolated from output drivers by a 5kVRMS reinforced isolation barrier, with a minimum of 150kV/us common-mode transient immunity (CMTI).
