The Fujitsu MBL8749 is an 8-bit single-chip microputer that uses a 2K x 8-bit Electrically Programmable Read Only Memory (EPROM) for program memory.

The EPROM can be erased by using an ultraviolet (UV) light source;

thus, program memory for the MBL8749 can be changed as often as required.

2K x a-bit program memory (EPROM).
256 x 8-bit data memory (static RAM).
